IKAG Development Process
Each IKAG development project begins with lure selection, color development and the execution of the selected color scheme to generate the desired end result.
The finished lures in this collection were the result of a project my grandson and I completed recently.
Each lure receives a clear coat of 2 part epoxy, and spends 3 hour in a tumbler (rotisserie) to generate a smooth, uniform and durable finish.

I have been fishing my entire life, fly fishing for 30 years, and tying flies for 25. About a year ago, I bought an airbrush, some paints, and a few transparent lure blanks. After painting about 300 of them, have decided that perhaps there is a market for my custom creations.
This website is dedicated to the creation of custom airbrushed lures and hand-tied flies for fly fishing.
The handle "IKAG" (I Know A Guy) is for when someone asks where you got the lures, your reply is simply "I know a guy"!

IKAG Philosophy:
Here at IKAG we strive to provide high quality, reasonably priced fishing lures. Each product; fly, spoon, jig, plastic, stock or custom airbrushed lures are either tied, or painted by hand, one at a time. We are not a production site, we focus on quality, not quantity. We are located here in upstate NY.
We do not resell lure blanks or completed lures purchased overseas, only products finished by us.
IKAG maintains an inventory of lure blanks and fly-tying materials; each order is processed as it is received.
At many sites, lure selections are designed to catch a fisherman’s eye, ours are created to catch that of a fish.
Some might say our designs and patterns are simple, I would say; “simply effective”!
We are excited to work with you to create a custom pattern, unique to you as an individual, fisher person, or to meet your specific requirements. This could be for yourself, or a gift for another.
Any custom pattern created by request will not be reproduced and sold to others, they are your design.
IKAG Promise: We will not ship any product that we ourselves would not be happy to add to our own tackle box and to fish with.
